    基本需要紧急住房补助金

    To support Los Medanos College student basic needs and progress towards graduation, the 基本需要紧急住房补助金 program assists eligible students experiencing unexpected economic challenges with financial assistance in the form of a financial aid grant.

    资格:

    • Have an unexpected or extenuating financial challenge (i.e., Displaced and in need of assistance with housing costs, notice of eviction or utility cutoff)
    • 是洛斯梅达诺斯学院的在校生。 (Emergency 住房 Grants are available during the fall and spring semesters and only available during the summer months for students actively enrolled and taking Summer Session.)

    • Be willing to work towards economic stability and receive support to improve financial, mental and physical sustainability.
    • 完整的 the FAFSA, (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), CADAA (California Dream Act Application), or equivalent.

    • Be willing to pursue part-time employment and all 天博 means of self-support, if currently unemployed and able to work.

    Post Office Box
    Students experiencing homelessness— including couch surfing or 天博wise lacking a fixed/permanent place of living—can request a no-cost P.O. Box at their local Post Office so that they can receive mail. The student will need to have identification, or be known to the window clerk or Postmaster, or provide a verifiable point of contact (e.g., shelter, social services office, place of employment).
