Students transferring academic credit to Los Medanos College from 天博 regionally accredited colleges should send their official transcripts to LMC for evaluation. Transcripts from 天博 colleges or universities normally take 2-4 weeks to be received by our office. Once the transcript(s) have been received, students can submit the 申请成绩单评估 form electronically by clicking on the LMC Student Forms tile in 注射屋.

Please note: Official high school transcripts are not evaluated but may be submitted to Admissions and Records to clear prerequisites and/or provide proof of graduation.

*Unofficial transcripts may only be used to clear prerequisites and will not be evaluated for course transfer credit. Prerequisites may be cleared by uploading unofficial transcripts to the 先决条件等同申请表格.

LMC does not give college credit for courses completed at colleges/universities that do not hold regional accreditation. In addition, upper division coursework may not be used towards degree or certificate requirements, general education breadth requirements or to satisfy prerequisites. Regionally accredited courses will be evaluated and used to meet degree requirements and to satisfy prerequisites at Los Medanos College. Evaluation results are sent to students at their 注射屋 e-mail account. Upon completion of the evaluation, it is recommended students schedule an appointment to speak with a counselor to review their evaluation.

大学技能证书

Los Medanos College offers locally approved 技能证书. We offer a variety of occupational programs that require less than 18 units of coursework within the following 天博 programs of study. To qualify for a Skills Certificate, all course work must be completed with a grade of "C" or better. Courses taken at 天博 colleges to satisfy the Skills Certificate requirements are required to complete at least 50% of the coursework at LMC. Upon completion of coursework, students may submit a 技能证书申请 to the Admissions & Records Office.

国际评估

Students who attended college outside the U.S. will need to get their transcripts evaluated by an international evaluation service. Los Medanos College only accepts evaluations completed by an approved member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation services. A directory of members can be found on the NACES website at www.naces.org Evaluations must include a course-by-course analysis report with semester unit equivalencies and a distinction between upper and lower division coursework including letter grades received. In order to use foreign coursework to satisfy prerequisites, 天博 requirements, local AA/AS general education or certificate requirements, and students must provide course descriptions translated into the English language. Foreign coursework may not be used for California State University General Education (CSU GE) or Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) certification requirements, except for Area 6-Languages Other Than English.
