LMC Transfer Path 2007-2009
Bachelor of Arts in Physics, UC Berkeley ‘11

After being a professional musician for a few years, I came to LMC to pursue my 天博 passion: science! I can't really name when my interest in physics started, but probably in high school. 我一直对“如何”和“为什么”很感兴趣。

I had a great experience at LMC with the physics faculty, and feel I had probably the best physics professors in the area during my time there). While at LMC, I focused on completing my transfer requirements and transferred to UC Berkeley where I 天博ed in physics and earned my Bachelor of Science in Physics.

At UC Berkeley, I worked at the cyclotron working on designing and building an ion beam trap. 从那以后，我的研究重点一直是实验室等离子体和光谱学。 Right now I work as a scientist for National Securities Technologies, LLC, a company that manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) in support of national defense as well as research and development programs for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and are contractors to the Department of Energy (DOE). My 天博 path is focused on plasmas produced by “pinches”. Ultimately the spectroscopic study of these plasmas and how it can be used to further our knowledge of different kinds of reactions like fusion.
