All Students will now have the opportunity to enroll in transfer-level coursework in English and Math. Students will be required to complete the online self guided assessment to determine recommended course placement. These changes are based on the implementation of new legislation called AB705.

After applying to LMC and completing the online orientation, complete the placement process to get recommendations for your first-term Math, English or ESL 天博.

As an LMC student, you have the opportunity to enroll in a transfer-level English course regardless of past experiences with English. However, before students can register, it is required to complete the online self guided assessment to provide the student with a recommended course placement.

LMC Transfer-level英语：

ENGL-C1000: Academic Reading and Writing 或 ENGL-100: College Composition (3 units) An introductory composition course designed to help students develop critical reading, thinking and writing skills. This course is offered face-to-face, fully online, or hybrid.

ENGL-C1000E: Academic Reading and Writing 或 ENGL-100E: Enhanced College Composition (4 units) An introductory composition course that develops students' critical reading, thinking and writing skills with extra support and guidance from the instructor. This course is offered face-to-face, fully online, or hybrid. 请注意，4个单元中只有3个是UC可转换的。

As an LMC student, you have the opportunity to enroll in a transfer-level Math Course regardless of your past experiences with Math. However, before students can register, it is required to complete the online self-guided assessment to provide you with a recommended course placement. Please see below for the recommended entry course placement for your 天博:

- STEM专业：

  • 数学155（微积分预科- 4单元） is a course that involves creating mathematical models and solving equations using the family of functions typically found in Calculus. A large portion of this course is trigonometry. 数学155转至加州大学和科罗拉多州立大学。 Linked Co-requisite Algebra Skills Courses (Math 155s) are also available for certain sections.
