The Equity and Inclusion Office coordinates professional learning and Flex activities through Flex的PDAC和LPG. Both groups are comprised of Faculty, Managers, Classified Professional and Students who review and approve all professional learning and Flex credit-eligible activities prior to 实现。

For those of you who are interested in hosting a training workshop and/or department meeting (for flex credit), submissions for Spring 2026 Flex Week proposals will be 截止日期为2025年11月26日. 2025-2026年全日制教师弹性义务

There is a total 30-hour obligation for tenured full-time faculty, a 40-hour obligation for second year tenure track faculty, and a 50-hour obligation for first year tenure track faculty (usually completed in Nexus).

There are 5 hours of Mandatory Flex each semester for a total of 10 mandatory hours per year.

Full-time “A” contract faculty may choose to complete their Flex obligation over the entire fiscal year, July 1 through June 30.

Part-time faculty have a Flex obligation that is directly related to compensation and the number of instructional days in the semester. For Fall 2025, part-time instructors (and full-time faculty on AC contract) teaching a semester length class with synchronous meetings, have a flex obligation that is equal to the number of scheduled instructional hours taught in a week on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. In short, if you teach a full term class with scheduled meetings on any day mentioned here, the number of hours of your flex obligation are equal to the number of hours you teach on those days in one week. So if you teach 3 hours on Monday, and 3 hours on Wednesday, you only owe 3 hours. If you only teach on Wednesday you do not have a flex obligation for fall.

You will attach the approved form to your Faculty Agreement form at the end of the Academic Year (Full-time faculty) and at the end of each semester (Adjunct Faculty).

离开的请求 - There is a check-off box for Flex credit which the Dean can pre-approve Variable Flex credit (maximum 10 credits per Academic year) when you attend a conference off-site. 休假申请应提交给院长。
